Fine needle aspirate biopsies by Bethesda classification. Of all the biopsies taken with ultrasound guidance, 23.2 % yielded non-diagnostic specimens, 59.1 % benign, 8.3 % were either follicular lesion of undetermined significance or atypia of undetermined significance, 1.9 % follicular adenoma, 2.4 % suspicious for malignancy and 5.2 % reported as malignancy
