  1. aAt least 1 symptom must be nasal obstruction or nasal purulence/discoloured postnasal discharge. Thus, a diagnosis requires at least two PODS, one of which must be O or D
  2. Consider ABRS when symptoms persist beyond 7 to 10 days, or worsens after 5 to 7 days following an initial improvement (“double worsening”)
